ACMOS 48-407

RELEASE AGENT FOR BLANK MOULDS UNDER DIFFICULT CONDITIONS

PROPERTIES:

ACMOS 48-407 is a mould release paste on a graphite-mineral oil base with outstanding flow and wetting properties on the hot blank mould.

ACMOS 48-407 has been developed especially for the press-and-blow and blow-and-blow processes and is particularly suitable for the manufacture of long-necked bottles and broadshoulder bottles.

ACMOS 48-407 allows long intervals between lubrication and ensures excellent dispersion of the glass. ACMOS 48-407 forms a smooth graphite film, thereby producing a high-gloss surface on the glass.

ACMOS 48-407 prevents the formation of micro-cracks and scratches. No loading marks are apparent, even with very narrow moulds.

APPLICATION:

The lubricating brush should be well squeezed, because the adhering amount will still be sufficient to form a uniform mould release film. When used economically, even the first glass article will usually leave the mould free from residues.

Compared with conventional mould pastes, ACMOS 48-407 has a considerably longer service life. Once the user has become familiar with the application of the product, he will be able to prolong the lubricating intervals step by step.

When using it for the first time, it is advisable to apply ACMOS 48-407 to clean moulds only, because incompatibilities with residues of old release agents may occur.

The effect of ACMOS 48-407 can be substantially improved by coating the moulds with ACMOS 43-5001 (water-based) mould varnish before use.

ACMOS 48-407 can also be used for finished moulds and for mould bases.

SUPPLY FORM:
