ACMOS 43-2425
High Thermal Resistance Special Coating For Moulds
PROPERTIES:
ACMOS 43-2425 is a varnish-like, highly heat-resistant coating which has been specially developed for the surface treatment of moulds used in the blow-and-blow process.
ACMOS 43-2425 forms a matt grey and very firmly adhering film, which permits the dry start-up of the moulds and eliminates the need for mould lubrication for up to 5 hours.
If an ACMOS mould release agent is used, brushing of the blank moulds is necessary only at longer intervals; these can be about three times as great as with the conventional process.
APPLICATION:
ACMOS 43-2425 is very simple to apply and presents no problems. Before being sprayed, the moulds must be cleaned to the bare metal and ideally degreased with ACMOSOL 130-28 cleaner.
The can must always be shaken well before each application.
ACMOS 43-2425 should be applied in a thin, even coating from a distance of about 20 cm. For optimum effects, two coatings should be applied in succession. Care must be taken to spray the edges adequately.
Before the moulds are inserted in the machine the coating must be tempered for about 60 minutes at an oven temperature of 350°C. The coating must not come in contact with a naked gas flame during this treatment.
After the tempered moulds are inserted no lubrication is needed for some time.
Unevenly applied coatings can easily be removed with ACMOSOL 130-28 cleaner.
ACMOS mould paste used to supplement the ACMOS 43-2425 makes for extended intervals between brushing, better glass surfaces and longer mould life.
SUPPLY FORM:
ACMOS 43-2425 is supplied in spray cans. Cartons contain 12 cans.
ACMOSOL 130-28 is supplied in 18 kg canisters.
