ACMOS 43-22
SPECIAL COATING RESISTANT TO HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR MOULDS
PROPERTIES:
ACMOS 43-22 is a varnish-like coating resistant to high temperatures, which was developed in
particular for coating moulds for the blow and blow process.
ACMOS 43-22 forms a dull grey, firmly adhering film, which permits dry starting of the moulds
and makes lubrication unnecessary for up to 5 hours.
When an ACMOS mould release agent is used the blank moulds need only be brushed at
much longer intervals. The intervals are about three times as long as with the conventional
method.
Hence ACMOS 43-22 in conjunction with an ACMOS mould release agent offers a substantial
cost advantage as a result of low consumption and longer mould lives.
APPLICATION:
ACMOS 43-22 is formulated for spraying and can be easily applied by a compressed-air spray
gun (nozzle with 0,8 mm, air pressure 1,7 – 2 bar).
Before spraying the moulds must be metallic bright and should be degreased with ACMOSOL
130-28 cleaner. ACMOS 43-22 should then be sprayed on thinly and evenly twice. Between
each operation the solvent should be evaporated until the coating appears dry. Allow the coating
to dry thoroughly after the second application and then stove. Optimum film properties are
achieved after about one hour at about 350°C.
Make sure that rooms and workplaces are well ventilated.
SUPPLY FORM:
ACMOS 43-22 is supplied in tins. Cartons contain 12 x 0,9 kg.
ACMOSOL 130-28 is supplied in 18 kg canisters.
